The Origin
The Axolotl Project was born from a deeply personal moment. When my mother received a possible cancer diagnosis, I began searching for a new species to raise—something that would bring me hope and meaning. That's when I discovered the Axolotl, a fascinating creature known for its incredible regenerative abilities.
Knowing that this small animal is being studied worldwide as a possible key to curing serious diseases touched me in a special way. At that moment, I realized it wasn't just a choice—it was a symbol of rebirth, strength, and hope. Thus, my commitment to the "Axolotl Portugal" project was born.

Who Are We?
The Axolotls Portugal Project was born with the mission of protecting, studying, and raising awareness of this unique species in the world. We believe that preserving the Axolotl is also preserving a symbol of renewal and hope.
We are dedicated to responsible breeding and knowledge sharing, promoting good practices for maintaining these animals in captivity, with respect and care.
Our focus is also on the future — on scientific research that studies the incredible power of cellular regeneration in Axolotls, a promising hope for possible cures for human diseases.
We are like guardians of life, we are "Axolotls Portugal".
When we started the Axolotls Portugal project, we had the idea for the project and the project on paper, and that's when we sent hundreds of emails to various companies to embrace our project and help us in some way to build it.
These were the true drivers of our project and provided us with the foundations for the creation of the Axolotls Portugal project.
